![]() On September 13, 2008 the Kidder Township Police Department became the 60th Police Department in the State of Pennsylvania and the First in Carbon County to be accredited by the Pennsylvania Law Enforcement Accreditation Commission (PLEAC). This Commission was established in July 2001 by the Pennsylvania Chiefs of Police Association to establish a level of Professionalism for Law Enforcement Agencies within the Commonwealth. The process of Accreditation is a demanding and lengthy process that identifies and highlights the capabilities and competence of the agency.
